Daybridge for Microsoft 365 administrators
Daybridge is a calendar app that shows work and personal calendars together. Someone in your organization wants to connect their Outlook calendar, and your organization requires an administrator to approve new apps first.
Approve Daybridge in one step
Microsoft asks you to sign in and shows the permissions listed below. Once you accept, everyone in your organization can connect their own Outlook calendar. Each person still signs in and chooses to connect.

- Delegated only
Daybridge uses delegated permissions only. It acts as the person who signed in and can reach only what that person can already reach in Microsoft 365, within the permissions below. It has no application permissions, so it cannot open any mailbox or calendar on its own.
Permissions
Approving grants every permission registered on the app. When a person connects without an administrator, Daybridge asks for all of them except Place.Read.All.
| Permission | What Daybridge uses it for |
|---|---|
openid | Sign the person in with their Microsoft account. |
profile | Read the person's name, to show which account is connected. |
email | Read the person's email address, which identifies the connected account. |
offline_access | Keep the calendar in sync while the person is not using Daybridge, without asking them to sign in again. |
User.Read | Sign in and read the person's own basic profile. |
User.ReadBasic.All | Find people in your organization's directory, such as their name and email address, when inviting them to an event. |
Calendars.ReadWrite | Show the person's calendars and events, save the changes they make in Daybridge, including replies to invitations, and hear about changes made elsewhere. |
Calendars.ReadWrite.Shared | Show calendars other people have shared with the person or delegated to them, and save changes where they have edit access. |
Contacts.ReadWrite | Read the person's Outlook contacts, to suggest guests when they invite people to an event. |
MailboxSettings.Read | Read the person's time zone and calendar preferences, such as working hours, from Outlook. |
People.Read | Read the people Microsoft ranks as most relevant to the person, to suggest them as guests. |
Place.Read.All | Read the meeting rooms and room lists in your organization, so the person can find and book a room for a meeting. |
How Daybridge handles your data
- Daybridge stores a copy of the calendars, events, contacts, and settings it reads, so the person sees them on every device they use. It runs on Amazon Web Services.
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. The tokens that connect an account are encrypted and never shared with third parties.
- When a person disconnects Outlook in Daybridge, Daybridge deletes the calendars, events, contacts, and settings it copied from that account and stops listening for changes.
- Daybridge has no ads, does not sell data, and does not use calendar content to train AI models.
Questions
Who can approve Daybridge?
A Global Administrator, Privileged Role Administrator, Cloud Application Administrator, or Application Administrator in your Microsoft Entra tenant.
Does Daybridge read email?
No. Daybridge has no permission to read, send, or delete email. MailboxSettings.Read covers settings such as the time zone, not messages.
Can I allow only some people to use Daybridge?
Yes. After you approve, open Enterprise applications in the Microsoft Entra admin center and select Daybridge. Under Properties, set Assignment required to Yes, then add the people or groups who may use it under Users and groups.
How do I revoke access?
Open Enterprise applications in the Microsoft Entra admin center and select Daybridge. Under Properties, set Enabled for users to sign in to No to block it, or delete the application to remove every permission you granted. Outlook calendars in Daybridge then stop syncing for everyone in your organization.
