Daybridge raises £750k seed round led by Passion Capital

Over the past few months, I've been busy talking to investors and founders from all over the world about Daybridge. I'm pleased to share today that Daybridge has raised £750,000 in a seed round led by Passion Capital and accompanied by a great group of angel investors from the UK and US.

Passion is a leading UK early stage investor – having backed amazing companies like Monzo, GoCardless, and Pusher. I was fortunate enough to receive offers from a several really compelling investors, each with their own strengths. I chose Passion because the team stood out to me as decisive, grounded, and empathetic in their approach to investment. They understood my vision immediately, and, in addition to supporting the company, focussed on supporting me as an individual. I'm beyond confident that they'll be a fantastic partner for Daybridge as we grow.

As part of the round, we'll be welcoming Eileen Burbidge MBE as our Investor Director. Eileen brings a wealth of experience supporting new companies on their startup journey, and I couldn't be happier that she'll be on board for ours.

We'll be using the money to build a small but mighty team of engineers and designers. Since I launched the Daybridge beta programme back in June, we've had some amazing demand – with more than 10,000 people signing up to our waiting list. This investment will enable us to put in the time and effort required to build a great product, and to meet everybody's high expectations.

It's an absolute privilege to have the financial backing I need to dedicate all of my working time and energy to building Daybridge. I'm enormously grateful for all of the support I've received from my investors, friends, and family. Getting here has taken months of hard work, and years of preparation. But we're just getting started.

Finally, and most importantly, I'd like to say a huge thanks to everybody who has signed up to the waiting list, taken the time to give feedback, and spread the word about Daybridge. Building a new company from scratch is really hard. But it's a little easier when you have so many people cheering you on ♥️
